Ilse Gosliga, Founder of Energiso
“Curiosity is my superpower. It’s what led me to clean energy and keeps me motivated every day.” Ilse Gosliga started Energiso with a clear mission: to make the energy transition practical, transparent and achievable for businesses.“I’ve always wanted to create real impact, not just talk about change, but accelerate it.”
“People often assumed I was from the communication team rather than the technical one.
It’s rarely malicious, but it shows how deep stereotypes run.”
Leadership with Purpose
Ilse’s leadership philosophy was inspired by her grandfather: “Leadership is about creating space for others, not control.” “That mindset shapes everything I do.
At Energiso, inclusion is a culture. Everyone’s input counts, regardless of gender, background, or title.”
Advice for Future Innovators
Stay endlessly curious. Don’t wait until you feel ‘ready.’ Most doors open when you just walk up and try the handle.
Clean energy needs women who think differently, who bring empathy and intuition into a technical world.
Vision for Change
Ilse believes education and policy must evolve: “we need to normalize women in leadership and technical roles. Not as exceptions, but as the standard. Education should show girls that STEM solves real-world problems.
Ilse Gosliga is proof that curiosity, courage and inclusion can power the energy transition.
About STAR Girls
STAR Girls is a EU-based initiative aimed at encouraging young girls in pursuing studies and careers in Clean and Renewable Energy sectors (CREs) through localised mentorship programmes in Greece, Italy, Portugal, Spain and Netherlands. One of the main resources will approach the several barriers and enablers of young women’s decisions in pursuing studies and careers in CREs, as based on national-led desk and field research findings. This testimony is part of the interviews occured in the Netherlands, that will later feed this document.
