The Centre for Renewable Energy Sources and Saving (CRES), established in 1987 and supervised by Greece’s Ministry of Environment & Energy, is a key national institution in the areas of Renewable Energy Sources (RES), Rational Use of Energy (RUE), and Energy Saving (ES). It employs a staff of 160, including 100 highly qualified engineers and scientists, and promotes technological applications in energy both nationally and internationally. CRES acts as an advisor to the Greek State, leading energy planning and policy for RES, RUE, and ES. The Centre also conducts applied research on new energy technologies, providing energy planning studies, policy analysis, and supporting the market adoption of green energy solutions. It participates in technical seminars and educational programs to disseminate energy knowledge.

IDEC is a training consulting company located in Piraeus, Greece.Its activities consist of training, management consulting, quality assurance,evaluation and development of ICT solutions for both the private and public sectors. Clients of IDEC are both SMEs and the bigger Greek companies of a wide variety of sectors. It co-operates with more than 800 institutes all through Europe and with about 300 experts on specific fields. IDEC has extensive experience in European projects, either as coordinator or as a partner from different European programs and Initiatives. IDEC has consulting experience in developing quality management systems in Greek training centres and has been accredited as a lifelong learning center. The main areas of expertise are management consulting, quality management, certification, design of training contents based on ECVET, software and multimedia development, internet applications, distance learning, e-business, and e-commerce.

The Department of Social and Education Policy at the University of the Peloponnese is dedicated to advancing knowledge in social and education policy through teaching and applied research. The department focuses on issues like the protection of civil and social rights, welfare state enhancement, and lifelong learning. It also develops and implements innovative educational modules in both formal and non-formal education. The department’s research agenda addresses current social and political crises, focusing on the re-design of public policies and modernization of welfare state institutions. This aligns with the objective of promoting democratic society and advancing education for all age groups, particularly in the context of social inclusion and crisis management.

The Greek Solar Industries Association (EBHE) was founded in 1979. Today it has 28 regular members (solar systems production industries) with a dominant position in the know-how, production and distribution of solar systems, as well as 39 collaborating members (including the Laboratory of Solar Systems of the National Research Center “Democritus” and the Center for Renewable Energy Sources – CRES). Greece is one of the most successful countries in the world in the use of solar thermal energy. The solar thermal market in Greece started over 40 years ago, and has grown exponentially since then. In recent years, the ratio of installed solar panels per inhabitant has been one of the highest in Europe. With many industries active in this sector Greek Solar Panels have achieved a significant share of the European and global markets.

Politeknika Txorierri is a subsidised High School for Science and Technology and Vocational Education and Training (both EQF levels 4 and 5) in the Spanish Basque Region. Each year the school provides education for over 400 full time students and 1000+ adult part time learners with a staff of 50 people. The centre specialises in: Environmental Education, Telecommunications and Information Technology, Robotics, Sales and Commercial Management, Mechanical Design and Mechanical Production. We also have a Career Guidance department that provides our students with educational and professional support. We are an authorised Employment Agency. At Politeknika Txorierri we count with an Equality Plan and a team of professionals that conform the equality team, working in both equality at organizational level and in the teaching practice.

INOVA+ is a leading Portuguese company in managing international projects within the fields of innovation, education, training, and research. With 27 years of experience, the company employs over 120 consultants across various offices in Portugal, Brussels, Heidelberg, and Warsaw. INOVA+ is a major player in EU-funded projects, coordinating more than 40, and has a strong focus on areas like pedagogical development, digital skills, green skills, and soft skills. INOVA+ provides a wide range of services, including project management, proposal writing, research, training program development, and event planning. It is also a member of several European networks and has coordinated more than 100 European projects, fostering collaboration across research centers, universities, municipalities, and businesses.

The Polytechnic of Porto (P.PORTO) is one of Portugal’s largest and most prestigious polytechnic institutions, founded in 1985. It comprises several autonomous schools, including engineering, education, accounting, management, music, and health sciences. P.PORTO offers undergraduate, master’s, and post-graduate programs while focusing on applied research and professional training. It has a strong international presence and partnerships with industry. ISCAP, one of P.PORTO’s schools, is a leading business school, and ISEP (School of Engineering) is renowned for its emphasis on applied learning and research in engineering. ISEP is home to several research groups and centers, contributing significantly to applied social sciences and engineering research in areas like human resources management, real-time systems and artificial intelligence.

CIOFS-FP ETS is an Italian Foundation committed to vocational education and training (VET), aiming to strengthen the link between education and the labor market. Based in Rome, the Foundation offers services like career guidance, vocational training, work-based learning mobilities, and job placement support. It reaches over 15,000 learners annually and collaborates with more than 900 trainers. CIOFS-FP ETS is actively involved in European initiatives and networks, focusing on lifelong learning and the integration of services for disadvantaged groups, such as young people, women, the unemployed, migrants, and school dropouts. Its innovative digital platform, CIOFS-FP 4.0, enhances access to training and employment opportunities. The Foundation’s work has earned recognition from the European Commission for excellence in lifelong learning and inclusion.

PIANO C is an Italian organization focused on empowering women through professional redesign, training, and workshops. It helps women who are unemployed or underemployed re-enter the labor market by providing tools to enhance their professional skills, align with job market demands, and build self-confidence. The organization uses a unique method called Work Design, which combines design thinking, storytelling, and empowerment techniques to help women define their professional profiles and navigate the labor market. PIANO C has a strong track record of helping vulnerable women regain their professional identity and aims to promote gender equality in the workplace through innovative and personalized support.

The University of Milano-Bicocca (UNIMIB), founded in 1998, is a public university located in Milan, Italy, offering a range of undergraduate and graduate programs in fields such as ICT, educational sciences, economics, business administration, law, medicine, and psychology. The university is dedicated to research and innovation, with a strong focus on creating a pluralistic, democratic, and inclusive educational environment. Its Department of Human Sciences for Education promotes education based on diverse interpretive approaches and experiential methods. The university is also recognized for its excellence in educational and sociocultural research, especially in the context of the digital transition and its impact on education systems and social equality.

Based in the Netherlands, Firda is an educational institution that offers vocational and adult education to over 24,000 students. With campuses in multiple cities, it provides training in a wide range of professions, from trade skills to higher-level education. Firda emphasizes hands-on learning and professional development, ensuring that students are well-prepared for the workforce. The institution has a strong focus on lifelong learning, offering opportunities for adults to gain new qualifications or upskill. Firda also works closely with industry partners and policymakers to develop curricula that meet the needs of the modern labor market, supporting both students’ employability and regional economic development.

Aldalan is a career guidance and employment consultancy based in the Basque Country, Spain, with over 20 years of experience. The organization designs and implements programs focused on employment, entrepreneurship, and professional development, working closely with professional associations, business clusters, educational institutions, and public entities. Aldalan offers a wide range of services including career guidance, mentoring, skills training, and labor market foresight. Its initiatives focus on women, innovation, social transformation, and the triple transition (environmental sustainability, digitalisation, and social responsibility). The consultancy has participated in over 20 regional and local employment projects, working with more than 25 stakeholders and reaching over 1,000 individuals, while maintaining close connections with the Basque employment and training ecosystem.
